Sightlines

#latepost Autumn 2018 began with a Revel at Ainslie and Gorman, and artists, musicians, thespians and crafters of good food and beverages gathered to celebrate with the general public. I constructed a project called Sightlines, designed to get little ones thinking about what was in Canberra before the city, and what might be to come (gathering, as we were, in the shadow of the new development that has replaced former public housing flats next to Gorman House). This project needs some refining, but for a first turn out I was quite pleased with some of the imaginings that emerged, and especially with the inter-generational conversations that were generated between those small people accompanied by their dedicated grandparents. (Somewhere out there are more photos….somewhere)
